Welcome to SDTC Kochi

Software Development and Training Centre (SDTC), Kendriya Bhavan, Kochi is a nodal Government Department under the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DEITY), Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT), Government of India. SDTC Kochi has been established in place of NITPU (NIC IT Promotion Unit). SDTC Kochi undertakes Information and Communication Technology (ICT) based application software development, products and services including e-Governance software products, organizing and conducting Skill Development Programmes (SDP) for NIC Employees, Product Training on identified e-Gov products, website design and development, regional coordination for Web Sites Design and Development best practices, coordination for Open Government Datasets and ICT based support services to Kochi based Central Government Department and Public Sector Units.

Software Development and Training Centre (SDTC) will work on the following broad areas of core competence:

  • Software Development (development support to National and State e-Gov Projects on a case-to-case basis)
  • Software Development Assignments from PEC (Project Evaluation Committee)
  • Product & Services – Identified e-Gov projects will be selected and productized
  • NIC Skill Development Programmes (SDP) for Internal NIC Employees
  • Training on Software Products and Services
  • Academia & Industry Collaboration with NIC
